The Story of My Stash

Oh boy! I see folks have wide eyes now!
Yep that is right I am going to share the secrets of my stash:

Come back later and the story will be up

Knitters Need To Knit- knit and crochet circle

Today I had the first "Knitters Need To Knit" circle here at my house.
This was formed from some of the members of the old Knotty Knitters who went to Knit or Knot yarn shop.

Unfortunately, last month, Norma had to close the shop. Her health has gotten worse and it was just too difficult to carry the shop when she could not be present. It was a hard decision for her, but it is for the best. I can already see her state of mind is improving without the worries of the business over her head.

All of us knitting gals really miss the shop and the routine we had formed by going there to knit and chat with our pals.

So I decided I wanted to host a date for us to get together and knit.

Today was a real success, so we are going to do it bi-weekly on Mondays starting with today. So the next one is here at my place in Newmarket, ON, in two weeks!

If you crochet or knit and are available on Monday afternoons you are welcome to come too. Of course you would have to live in the York Region area.....

We chat and have coffee and tea, and show off and work on our projects. The more experienced gals will help out too.

Honestly we get more gabbing than knitting done.

If you are in the area and want to join us send me an email and I will give you the details.
Every Other Monday afternoon 1-4.

Check Out The New Link On My Sidebar!

There are two new posts (even if the dates seem old) below this one.

So I am now listening to Buzz Online Radio. The folks from buzz are folks I play online games with on Pogo. We hang out in game rooms together and they take requests from the gamers while they DJ.

One of the DJ gals lives in Peterborough, so she is excited to get Canadians in her mostly American audience.

If you like rock and country and top 40 pop you will like Buzz. Remember though, that online radio is not regulated by other media regulations so you may hear some songs with racey lyrics, so don't be offended.

If you never have tried Pogo you should. It is free and it has a huge amount of games from cards to puzzles to slot machines. You can find me on Pogo as witchamy9. To head over to Pogo click here

What Do The Country Folk Do For Fun? Jammin' At The Legion!!

Once in a while we get together with our old friends from IronHorse band and get Jammin at the Bradford Legion!
Not like the old days when it was standin room only.....

See Younger folks are quite happy to go to the bar and pay $5.00 for a beer, but they don't realize that the beer at the legion is really cheap!
I don't drink myself, but all my friends do. I still have a great time with my cola.

The guys from IronHorse have been around these parts forever. Most of them made up Red Bandana which I am pleased to say I got to play with on more than one occasion.

Our friend Cliff is the drummer for both.
Cliff and Ann have been our friends since 1993. One of the first couples we hung around with when we moved from the city to the countryside.

We still do a lot of stuff with them. They are the friends we go camping with...

Ironhorse plays country, old country, rock, blues and bluegrass.

If you live in the Barrie, Bradford, Innisville, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, or Aurora area and want to get notified when the legion is going to have an open night of entertainment please email me. We would love to see you out! We would really like to see the room filled so we can do it weekly as a cheap night out for folks! My email is in the sidebar.

Cliffy is drummin'!
