A Feast For A Cool Fall Day- Sirloin Stew With Aux Jus, Instead Of Gravy

Wordless Wednesday

brown the sirloin then add a bit of kettle water to draw up the flavour for the jus

season the meat with thyme, salt, pepper, and onion

my family does not like the texture of onion, so I put the onion pieces through the garlic press
all flavour, no texture

the carrots add lovely colour to the stew

before washing the potatoes I soke them in salt water with a few drops of vinegar

any dirt and dust on the potato float to the top

brown a last bit of meat to get the base for more jus

You've done gone and made me hungry. I would go raid my fridge, but considering it's almost 2 a.m. probably not a good idea. Besides, I wouldn't find anything that looked as good as your pictures.

BTW it looks like Blogrolling is down right now ... that's probably why the I am Canadian blogroll looks funny on your site. None of my blogrolling blogrolls (mine and others ) are coming up right now. Might account for lack of WW visitors too.

Neat idea with a lot fewer calories I imagine! I don't know how to do your WW...I tried to once but didn't know where the code was. Anyway, I assume it's just a picture that day. I'm pretty low tech! I'm trying to find out how I blog a song that I recorded but no luck yet.
