Is it Yule Yet?

I swear I am already behind in my holiday knits.
Here is the hat Alex needs for school. I should be done this already!
I promised him this ASAP.

I didn't even begin his sweater, that he wants for Christmas.
So it is rush through the hat and begin the sweater.....or else!

I finally got Lucas's baby sweater done. I believe I tore it out twice.
Ugg. I have made this sweater three times before and I still had trouble
because I decided to use a thicker yarn.

Nice thing about this design is it is especially for the growing babe.
It starts out rolled sleeves.
Then it expands as the baby does.
It is especially cropped because it is made to
come off and go on easy over the baby sleepers.
Like a modern unisex bolero.

Maybe one day I will take up knitting...it would be cool to knit love into many of the gifts I give around the holidays...

It looks like some people are going to get some super presents, Lynn.

The baby's sweater is so cute! It's been a while since I've made sweaters ... I've been hooked on afghans lately.

You're brilliant. Looks like at this rate, you'll need to set up a couple of good movies in the dvd player and go girl go!!! I love the pic of the hat in progress. You make me feel like knitting, I swear if I pass by a knitting supply store I'm picking up some goods. I haven't knitted in years, but I love it. Of course I can only knit a scarf, so I'd need a ook.

What holiday spirit Lynn!

Knitting reminds me of my mother and Christmas too.
Btw: Did you know I had a post about Yule in December last year: http://rennybasblog.blogspot.com/2005/12/it-was-yule-before-christmas.html

It's a very nice design! I like what you said about moving the buttons as he grows!
