What Charity are You Crafting For?
This Weekend Was the Church Bazaar where Socks For Sheep Made an appearance!

So Yarnpie really went all out with her presentation of Socks for Sheep at the Church Bazaar!
I encourage you to click on the photo to get a closer look! I can see my little sheep on the right side of the presentation board! Oh and my cupcake pin cushions with sprinkes are on the left of the table! It is so great to see all our wares out there.

Yarnpie had real success! She said that the table brought in:
Quote from Yarnpie: "Drumroll please..................
The Grand Total is $600! A HUGE thank you to all the generous people who bought items and donated money, not only can I give the knitting basket, but a flock of hope (ducks, chicks, and geese) and some honeybees as well! And again a special thank you for all those who donated time and talent to make items for me to sell. I think I may do this again next year!"

I will definitely begin my bazaar gifts in the next few weeks. I feel that this program of Socks for Sheep is a real world, and attainable, goal. I am really excited about how many folks find the time to do a little bit. Once those little bits go together it creates something so grand! I will prepare to create bazaar works to support charity like this.

I want to know if you are supporting a charity with your crafts.
If you do work like this please fill out the linky. Then in comments can you please talk about the charity and where we can go to find out more.

I did my bazaar gifts for Socks for Sheep this year. I will be honoured to do more for other folks as well. I want to know who needs craft help for their Charity. Where can I find out more? What are the details of the charities need, and the limitations of the area they can receive from.

Hi Lynn! I like your blog! Charity knitting is always a good thing. When I do it I actually try to send to a different charity every time. There are so many out there that need knitted items. I usually go to this site http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/charity-links.html to find a charity to send to. In the past I've sent to local hospitals in my area and homeless shelters in NYC. I also knit at a senior center with my knitting group every other month or so. There will never be too much charity knitting, it's sad but true.

I don't currently knit for charity but I'd like to. I never did find that link for the socks for sheep on your blog so would love more info. I'd appreciate getting pointed to some places where I can help. Thanx :)

I don't do crafts but am amazzed at what you do. That display is adorable! I guess maybe Southlake and Royal Victoria may take them into their gift shops.

Socks for sheep? It reminds me of "While shepherds washed their socks by night."

This is great, your cupcakes are really cute.

I don't make anything in general for charity. Although maybe cooking counts. I work the kitchen at a church twice a week for homeless people. The dinner is served every night for 130 people. Remember my post about wanting to start a drop in art program for street kids? Looks like I may be finding my connections and support through this avenue Lynn!

Love the little sheep in the photo, they are incredible.

(I also have pledged money from the sale of a painting to the Diabetes Research for a blog friend who is losing weight for this charity. I have the painting on sale at eBay)

I've been machine knitting jumpers for Knit for Kids, someone gave me a load of industrial yarns so I'm using them all up. I've also been making blanket squares for Feed the Children; our local RSVP are making them into blankets.
